Rock 61:2 guests enjoying some much-needed rest!

PROGRESS UPDATE

  • In early October, we hosted our first missionary couple here in our studio. They were able to relax and enjoy spending time together with no obligations before returning to their ministry. While our goal was to bless them, we found that we were also incredibly blessed by their presence!
  • We will be returning to Arizona for a few days in November to attend Mission Connexion Southwest. We believe this will be a great opportunity to meet lots of people who are (or want to be) directly involved in missions.
  • Do you know anyone that is looking to invest in the Lord’s work? Send them our way! We cannot thrive in our ministry without the help and support of others. Partner with us as we love and serve missionaries from around the world!

Refueling the Fire: Practical Steps to Recharge Your Mind, Body, and Spirit

Burnout drains passion, energy, and purpose. But God specializes in restoration. Isaiah 40:31 promises, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” If you feel like the fire is burning low, it’s time to refuel.

Signs You Need Spiritual, Mental, or Physical Renewal

  1. Lack of Joy in Ministry or Daily Life – If everything feels like an obligation, it’s a sign you need renewal (Psalm 51:12).
  2. Constant Fatigue and Brain Fog – Your body and mind need rest to function properly. Even Elijah needed sleep and food before he could hear from God (1 Kings 19:5-8).
  3. Feeling Spiritually Distant – When burnout sets in, our connection with God can feel distant. James 4:8 reminds us, “Come near to God and He will come near to you.”

Practical Steps to Refuel

  • Prioritize Rest and Recreation – Sabbath is not optional; it’s necessary for renewal (Exodus 20:8-11).
  • Engage in Soul-Filling Activities – Worship, prayer, and time in nature can refresh your spirit.
  • Seek Encouragement from Others – Surround yourself with people who lift you up in faith.

God doesn’t just want us to survive—He wants us to thrive. When we take steps to refuel, we allow Him to restore our strength for the road ahead.

The Familiar Stranger: (Re)Introducing the Holy Spirit to Those in Search of an Experiential Spirituality by Tyler Staton invites readers to rediscover the Holy Spirit—not as a distant doctrine, but as a present and personal companion. Staton explores how many believers know about the Spirit yet rarely experience His nearness, and he offers a way forward that is both theologically grounded and deeply practical. Through Scripture, church history, and personal stories, he reintroduces the Spirit as the one who empowers, comforts, and transforms our daily lives. With warmth and clarity, The Familiar Stranger calls readers to move beyond head knowledge into a living relationship with God’s Spirit—one that is vibrant, experiential, and rooted in truth.

Something cool about Costa Rica

In the 19th century, coffee was so valuable that it was used as a form of currency and even funded the construction of the National Theater in San José.
